  • POLISH PASSPORT

     

    An application for a new passport must be submitted personally, due to the need to scan fingerprints. Application forms are only available from the Embassy. Due to the required specification of the paper, forms are not available for download from the website.

     

    Current consular fees:

     

    • Passport: the equivalent of 1.640.000 RPI
    • Passport for a child below 13 years of age: 1.050.000 RPI

    We only accept cash in RPI or EUR. The waiting time for a passport is about 2 months. It is possible to obtain a temporary passport valid for six months while you are waiting for a full passport.

     

    Required documents:

     

    • Recently expired Polish passport;
    • PESEL number (Polish ID number);
    • Polish birth certificate, even if the applicant was born outside of Poland;
    • Polish marriage certificate, even if the applicant was married outside of Poland (if applicable);
    • Two passport size photographs (35mm x 45mm) with a white background, showing full frontal view of the face. The proportion of the head must be 70-80% of the complete photo. The photo cannot be more than 6 months old.

    For minors: a valid Polish passport or Polish identity card of both parents. Both parents must be present when applying. Children above the age of 5 must be present when applying.

     

    If you don't have a Polish passport, one of the following documents must be submitted:

     

    • Polish ID (dowód osobisty);
    • Confirmation of Polish citizenship issued by the Provincial Governor (Wojewoda) in Poland;
    • President’s decision about the grant of Polish citizenship.

     

    If you don't have a PESEL number you can obtain it by submitting:

     

    • An application form, available at the Embassy;
    • Polish birth certificate, even if the applicant was born outside of Poland;
    • Polish marriage certificate, even if the applicant was married outside of Poland (applicable to those who changed their name after marriage).
